Regular servicing saves money

Whether you drive an old car or a brand new one, regular servicing is important. It is a small investment towards longer term savings, reliability and safety.

  • Extends the life of your car
  • Reduces tyre wear
  • Prevents small problems turning into big ones
  • Improves fuel efficiency
  • Ensures the safety of you and your passengers
  • Maintains your car’s value
  • Higher resale value

Jack and his team provide regular servicing with the latest diagnostic and tuning equipment for all vehicles including current models and 4WDs. Their prices are very competitive, and their services can cost a lot less than at the dealers.

When you have your car serviced every six months:

  • Your car uses less fuel and produces fewer emissions
  • A regular oil change extends the life of your engine
  • Leaking oil and other fluids are checked to make sure they won’t cause a major breakdown
  • Brakes are checked to make sure they are safe
  • All moving parts are lubricated to avoid wear and tear
  • Belts are checked as they can cause engine failure if they become loose
  • Lights are checked to make sure they are in full working order
  • Steering and suspension are checked

Log book services that won’t void your warranty

As long as a log book service includes all of the manufacturer’s scheduled items and is carried out by qualified staff, your warranty will be valid regardless of where you get your car serviced. The team at Packard Automotive has over 40 years’ combined experience and they are qualified to carry out log book services. They will always cover all the manufacturer’s scheduled items – saving you money in the process.

Car battery being replaced

Is your car battery about to die? A car battery generally lasts from 3-5 years. However, driving habits and frequent short trips can shorten its life.

With winter approaching, now is a good time to make sure your car is ready – particularly when it comes to your brakes. After a long, hot summer, you might think that your brakes are working perfectly well, but once the roads get wet, it can be a different story.

All cars make noise of some kind, but how do you know when that noise is something you should get checked out?

Keep an eye on your wiper blades. It doesn't matter what sort of vehicle you drive, if you can't see through your windscreen, its not safe.
