owned and operated by Dr Laura MacNeil who has transformed the clinic with a full renovation and state-of-the-art equipment.

Walking into the practice there is a different feel from most dental visits. The reception area could easily be a sitting room; with a warm, cosy atmosphere, a tv and coffee machine. Dr Laura and her friendly team are looking forward to welcoming you and your family into their calm & relaxing environment. If the thought of going to the dentist makes you nervous, Dr Laura and her team will do everything they can to help you relax and reduce your stresses.

You can have your choice of music, film or TV show playing while you are in the practice; they also offer sedation and desensitisation options, which help to manage fear of the dentist.

Preventative check-ups

When you visit Mount Lawley Smiles, they check more than just your teeth. They call it a ‘check up from the neck up’! They will check your jaw joints, screen for oral cancer, assess lips, cheeks, gums and teeth. They may also take some digital images to check between your teeth and underneath old fillings and crowns. This is followed by a clean and polish to remove tartar build-up and staining.

Children’s dentistry

Mount Lawley Smiles provide dentistry in a calm and relaxing environment; you can have your choice of music, film or TV show playing whilst you’re in the practice. They suggest that you bring your own headphones which will help cancel out any ambient noise. Progressive Muscle Relaxation is a form of guided meditation which can reduce blood pressure and slow your heart rate, which can be particularly useful for most people in the dental environment.

Desensitisation

The experienced team can take the mystery out of dentistry and injections, allowing you to continue with dental care without fear of the unknown. This can be performed over multiple appointments if required, letting you clear your mind and focus on the things that really matter to you.

Sedation

If none of the solutions above can help with your fear of dental treatment, they also offer oral sedation or can arrange an anaesthetist to administer twilight sedation for you at the practice. These options are subject to your medical history.
