Turn off the tap when you brush your teeth

If you leave the tap running for three minutes while you brush your teeth, you’ll waste around 30 litres of water. Brush your teeth twice a day and that’s 21,000 litres of fresh water a year literally down the drain. Simply by turning off the tap, you’ll become a water-saving champion.

Choose a reusable coffee cup

It’s so easy to grab a takeaway coffee on your way to work, but if you do this every day, you’re sending over 300 disposable coffee cups to landfill every year. If you choose a reusable coffee cup for your takeaway coffee, over the course of your working life, you’ll be keeping around 12,000 coffee cups and lids out of landfill.

Ditch the bottled water

It can take 3 litres of water to produce one litre of bottled water – not to mention the damage that the plastic water bottle will do to the environment if it’s not recycled properly. By using a refillable water bottle, you’ll be helping to save one of our most precious resources.
