Colour code your keys

Paint a different coloured spot on each of your keys so you know which is which at a glance.

Protect your jewellery

Painting the surface of your costume jewellery which touches your skin will prevent it from tarnishing.

No more frayed shoelaces

Because they get a bit of a workout, shoelaces on your sneakers can start to fray.  Painting the frayed ends in clear or coloured nail polish (to match your shoes!) will make them last a bit longer.

Stop a small run in your tights from getting bigger

Simply apply a little clear nail polish at the top and bottom of the run to stop it getting out of control, then let it dry.

Smudge-free labels

If you have labels on your food containers, potted plants, or outdoor items like mailboxes, you can prevent them from smudging by applying a coat of clear polish.

Stop buttons from falling off

It's so annoying when you lose a shirt button. Stop it from happening by applying a little clear nail polish to keep it intact.

Don’t lose your golf balls

Put a spot of coloured nail polish on your golf balls so you know which are yours.

Screw loose?

Secure a loose screw by brushing a little clear nail polish over the top, then tightening it again. This also works well on the tiny screws on spectacles.
