Painter painting a window frame

As well as looking great, a fresh coat of paint to the exterior of your home will also protect it from weather damage, in particular your timber window frames. Water is your timber windows' biggest threat and cracked and peeling paint is the ideal environment for water to seep through.

This can lead to swelling, rot and mould growth and the whole window frame may have to be replaced.

Check your paintwork regularly and at the first signs of deterioration call your local painting expert. Taking action early will also save money as the longer you leave it, more preparation work will be needed and the job will take much longer.
