Your kitchen gets used daily – for food preparation, family dining, doing homework and many other activities. And the floor can take a bit of a beating with spills and stains a daily occurrence. This is why your choice of flooring is important.

Laminate

  • Available in a wide variety of designs, colours, and styles.
  • Can look similar traditional timber flooring but can be laid over a concrete slab.
  • It comes in either a tile or plank form.
  • The laminate is multi-layered with a tough melamine top layer to give it a polished look and prevent wear.

Vinyl

  • Water and stain resistant, and easy to maintain.
  • Very comfortable which is important if you spend a lot of time cooking.
  • Easily installed on top of your old flooring.

Engineered wood

  • Unlike hardwood, engineered wood faces no expansion or contraction problems with changing temperatures or excess humidity.
  • It also requires little to no maintenance, and it will not warp, swell, or lose its shape.

Solid hardwood

  • Water resistant when combined with the proper finish
  • Long-term exposure to moisture will cause damage.
  • Spills should be cleaned as soon as possible.
