• We have been briefed on the symptoms of COVID-19, and everybody who works with us is under strict instructions to stay at home at the first sign of any respiratory illness or fever.

• We accept contactless payments.
• We have not recently travelled overseas or knowingly had contact with an infected person. In the unlikely event of exposure, we will obviously stay home and self-isolate in line with the latest government rules.
• When booking an appointment we will ask you to confirm that you have not recently travelled overseas or knowingly come into contact with an infected person.
• We agree to adhere to the social distancing guidelines and refrain from shaking hands and keep at least 1.5m from others. We kindly ask that you do the same.
• For the time being, we will have to respectfully decline appointments to homes under quarantine.

Protect your family with safety switches

It’s a fact, safety switches save lives. The best way to protect yourself and your family is to make sure you have safety switches (RCDs) installed in your switchboard. A safety switch will automatically shut off the electrical supply when current is detected leaking from faulty switches, wiring or electrical appliances. Call Steve and his team and they will check your switchboard, and install them if necessary. They can also check that the safety switches you have are working properly.

Surge arresters

Lightning strikes, faulty wiring and damaged power lines can cause surges or voltage strikes, which can seriously damage your electrical equipment. A surge arrester installed in your switchboard will protect your valuable electronic equipment.

Life-saving hardwired smoke alarms

Hardwired smoke alarms are mandatory in new and renovated houses, but Steve recommends older homes also have them installed. This is the best way for early smoke detection, keeping you and your family safe in the event of a fire. With a hardwired smoke alarm, you don’t have to worry about the battery running out and the smoke alarm failing offers a smoke alarm installation service and they can also advise on the type and position of the smoke alarm for maximum effectiveness.

Extra power points

Most homes have a shortage of power points and people tend to overload the power outlets they have with adaptors and extension cords, which can be very dangerous. The sensible and safe solution is to ask Steve and his team to change your single power points into double power points and also to add extra power points wherever you need them.
