Don’t let termites eat your home

Economy Pest Management can perform professional timber pest inspections and specialise in the most efficient termite management systems ideal for your property. This will ensure your home/ business is protected from invasive pests (termites).

The chances of your home coming under termite attack are greater than flood, fire, and natural disaster combined. And yet, termite damage is not covered by your standard home insurance!

Estimates by CSIRO and other leading bodies estimate that as many as 1 in 5 homes are likely to suffer a termite attack and this may be as high as 1 in 3 homes in high-risk areas. Protect your home and investment by having a termite management plan for your property.

Subterranean termites include:

  • Coptotermes acinaciformis

  • Coptotermes frenchi

  • Coptotermes acinaciformis raffrayi

  • Coptotermes lacteus

They normally nest underground, which can make the termite nests very difficult to locate. Often the nest will be in the root crown of a large tree (the area between the roots and the base of the trunk). However, some species create an obvious mound on the ground, which obviously makes them a lot easier to spot. And indeed a few species also build arboreal nests (nests in trees). However, even in these arboreal nests, they still need to have contact with the ground, which is achieved through mud tubes on the outside of the tree, or moving within the tree itself, building materials or other cellulose materials around your property.

Coptotermes species are the most economically damaging termite species in Australia. Different species are found across Australia and colonies can contain over 1 million individuals.

If they are attacking your home/ buildings it means there is a weakness in the design (eg. a potential entry point) and a source of moisture (leak or drainage problem). Regular inspections and a good termite management system are essential.

Cockroaches exterminated!

Perth is an ideal breeding ground for cockroaches, so if you’ve spotted one or two in your home, you can be sure there are many more lurking in the nooks, crannies & crevices around your home. They are one of the most hated pests in the home, and for good reason. They carry bacteria, have an unpleasant odour, and are notoriously difficult to get rid of.

  • Some of the signs you may have cockroaches include:
  • A dust of black droppings less than 1mm wide
  • Shed skin
  • An unpleasant, musty smell
  • Egg casings (rounded shape and brownish)

Economy Pest Management will eradicate cockroaches from your property and prevent future infestations. They will conduct a thorough treatment to target all types and sizes of cockroaches to ensure that a clean, hygienic and pest-free environment.

Get that mouse out of your house!

You might think your home is secure against rats and mice, but they can scale walls, pipework, trees, and vines and squeeze themselves through the smallest of holes. If you suspect you have a rat or mouse problem, it needs to be dealt with quickly, before they begin to multiply and it gets out of control.
Rats and mice can:

  • Spread disease.
  • Spread other pests such as fleas.
  • Cause damage to your property such as chewing through wires.
  • Cause food contamination.

Economy Pest Management provides fast, efficient, and affordable rodent control. They target rodents with minimal risk of secondary poisoning in the best humane way to leave your property rodent-free. Their goal is not just to get rid of rodents but to prevent them from returning and causing any damage to your property.
