AIM stands for Adults In Motion and is an archery group for the over 50s. The Willetton Group meets every Tuesday at the Willetton Reserve Pavilion at 8.00am for an 8.30am start and finishing at approximately 11.00am.
Be involved in the weekly shoots and contribute to the activities involved in setting up the field for a shoot. AIM caters for those over 50 years of age with some members still participating in their 80s and older
Regular attendance is recommended (but not mandatory) as you are learning and competing as an individual. The aim is to become a better archer and be active in a non-contact sport. There are some group competitions held within the group.
AIM comprises 5 locations and members can shoot on each location’s shooting day once they become a member.
A basic new recurve bow and arrows can cost as little as $500 new making it a cheap sport.
Aim invites anyone over the age of 50 years old who can hold a bow with a lower end poundage of 18lbs (approximately 8kg), to join their club. It is usual for new members to attend as a visitor several times. once a membership form is completed and fees paid the membership request is passed through the Committee for approval.
