Orchestra's

For the love of music

The Churchlands Community Orchestra (CCO) is an amateur orchestra which has been playing music together for over 40 years.

They aim to provide a positive, friendly, informal, and above all encouraging atmosphere in which amateur musicians can play a varied repertoire of orchestral music.

CCO also promotes the ongoing learning of music, and seeks to provide a place where musicians of all standards and abilities can feel included and play for the love of music.

New members wanted

If you play an instrument, and want to play in an orchestra, the Churchlands Community Orchestra is looking for new members who can play the typical orchestral instruments (strings, woodwind, brass). If you play a non-orchestral instrument, get in touch as they also take in and have made accomodations for saxophone, piano, and bass guitar.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm with a short break at 8.30.

St Nicholas Anglican Parish Hall, 47 Berkeley Crescent, Floreat.  (The best access for the Parish Hall is from The Boulevard, opposite Floreat Ave and the Floreat Forum Shops.)

Repetoire

Directed by their conductor and dictated by the range and talent level of instrumentation available from year to year. They play a range of pieces, from classical orchestra standards to contemporary musicals and movie soundtracks. There are opportunities for a multi-skilled player to move to another section of the orchestra as needed to provide a fuller orchestral sound.
