Hillview Intercultural Community Centre (HICC) is a place where people from all backgrounds can come together to connect with each other, share their culture, learn new skills, and access opportunities that help them to reach their potential.

The Hillview Intercultural Community Centre also has meeting rooms, activity spaces, a commercial kitchen, main hall, and computer lab available for hire.

The Hillview Intercultural Community Centre has a collection of approx. 2000 items curated to reflect the intercultural focus of the centre. Customers will be able to create a library membership and join the Canning Libraries if they are not already members. Library members will be able to borrow, return and reserve items from across any of the City’s libraries to be collected from HICC with a daily drop off and collection for items from these locations.
The computer lab can be accessed Monday - Friday as a drop-in service between 12pm-5pm.
The computer lab may be available outside of these times if not in use for a program.
Free access to public Wi-Fi is available at Hillview Hub.
Membership of the library service is free, and anyone can join.
eMembership gives you access to electronic services and resources. It's the perfect option if you find it hard to get into a library but are still keen to access the extensive eCollections. You must be 18 or over to join online.
To join Hillview Hub library all you need to do is provide a proof of current address plus a form of ID (such as a driver’s licence). You’ll then get a library card and can access all the things that the library has to offer.
Those under 18 years of age need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to sign up.
General information:
You may borrow up to 20 items on your card. These can be borrowed from and returned to any branch of the City of Canning Library Service.
All items may be borrowed for three weeks.
Unless overdue or reserved by another patron, items may be renewed at any branch or by logging into your account online.
Overdue notices are issued as a courtesy reminder for your convenience.
