Kwinana Heritage Group
Preserving and promoting Kwinana's local history as a volunteer run organisation. Open to the public 1st Sunday of each month.
Preserve and promote Kwinana's Heritage
The Kwinana Heritage Group is made up of passionate volunteers who have for over 25 years cared for the Smirk’s Heritage Site. The foundational purpose of the group is to preserve and promote awareness of Kwinana's Heritage.
Over time the group has managed other heritage sites, saved buildings from demolition, successfully secured a museum space and delivered activities in and around Kwinana.
The Kwinana Heritage Group members meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8.00am until 11.30am where various jobs are undertaken like gardening, repairs, cleaning and rearranging displays, and preserving and recording the historical collection.
Visitors are welcome during this time, in addition to our dedicated Open Days which are held on the first Sunday of the month from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
Kwinana Heritage Group is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
