An inclusive group working to protect and expand South Perth's urban tree canopy through engagement, collaboration & education.
This local group is part of a growing network of local Tree Canopy Advocacy (TCA) groups representing 23 Local Government Areas across WA and more than 16,000 community members, all housed under the umbrella WATCA - WA Tree Canopy Advocacy.
WATCA's mission, together with the local TCA groups, is to create awareness, foster community engagement and drive regulatory change that will deliver state-wide regulation of large urban tree removal and a Tree Canopy Target of 30% for Perth by 2040.
WATCA is a community-driven organisation established to support the preservation, regulation and expansion of tree canopy in urban centres across WA.
