The Sparrow Way

The Sparrow Way incorporates proven international early learning methods guided by the principles of Reggio Emilia childcare and underpinned by The Early Years Framework for Australia. Carers and educators embrace children’s inherent abilities to learn and develop, creating an environment for them to find solutions through exploration, discovery, and invention, marvelling in everything around them.

Infant rooms

Sparrow Early Learning Wanneroo believes that sensory play is key to healthy development during infancy, which is why the Infant Rooms are designed to encourage the stimulation of your child’s 5 senses. They believe strongly in freedom of movement and following your child’s cues, focussing on building strong relationships between your child and their educator to ensure they are comfortable and cared for at every stage of the day.

Toddler rooms

Toddler Rooms are purposefully designed to meet the needs of children aged between 15 months and 2.5 years old. At this age, the focus is on strengthening the genuine and meaningful relationships that have developed to ensure they feel happy and supported throughout their early learning experiences. More outdoor play is encouraged along with freedom of choice for children of this age, while maintaining basic routines to help them prepare for the next stage of learning.

3-5 year-old rooms

Here they learn about tolerance, diversity, and inclusivity, growing in confidence and self-esteem. They develop theories, negotiate learning and merge thoughts together, building their knowledge and understanding. They express themselves with their developing vocabulary and language comprehension, discovering their everyday world through their natural curiosity and creativity, encouraged by our educators and our play-based learning curriculum.
