  • 4mm or 6mm thickness, with a vinyl backing for added safety
  • Bevelled edges

All styles of shower screens

Today there is a never ending list of home improvement ideas – but for your bathroom, simply updating your shower screen can make huge difference. South Metro Glass can design and fit a shower screen to suit any style of bathroom. They offer framed, semi-framed and frameless shower screens, each with their own benefits.

Framed shower screens

The more traditional framed shower screens are well crafted and very reasonably priced.

These can be made for:

  • Corner showers with side panels
  • Shower doors for front opening shower recesses
  • Above a roman bath area

They are made using quality aluminium frames in:

  • White
  • Almond
  • Ivory
  • Silver/chrome

Your choice of either clear or obscure patterned glass is then added.

 Semi-frameless shower screens

A semi-frameless shower screen adds a feeling of elegance to your bathroom. South Metro Glass & Glazing uses the Mirage range, which has been specifically designed to minimise framing, while still being modern and competitively priced. They come with a choice of clear or obscure patterned safety glass.

Frameless shower screens

A frameless shower screen will almost disappear into the background, making your bathroom look bigger and giving a stylish, sleek look.

They are made using 8mm or 10mm toughened glass with a channel or bracket fixing.

One of the team at South Metro Glass & Glazing will be happy to discuss your ideas and recommend the shower screen which will achieve the style you are looking for within your budget.

Pet doors

South Metro Glass & Glazing supply and install Transcat Clear pet doors which are designed specifically for use with glass panels.

For the safety and security of both you and your pet, they will only install pet doors into new, toughened glass panels. The hole required for the pet door needs to be cut into the glass before it goes through the toughening process. This means already toughened glass will need to be replaced.

To supply a quote over the phone or via email, the following information is needed:

  • Height and width of the glass panel.
  • Whether the glass is clear, tinted or patterned.
  • The style of frame around the existing glass panel.
  • The size of your pet.

A team member can also visit your home and provide a free measure and quote.

Broken glass window

If your home was built before 1970, the glass is probably very thin and if it breaks, it will fracture into jagged pieces which can cause serious harm. Here’s what you should do.
