Don’t wait to repair chipped or damaged glass

A chip or crack in your window may seem like a minor inconvenience, but it’s important to get it repaired as soon as you can. Here’s why.

Safety

Chips and cracks in windows can weaken the structural integrity of the glass, making it more likely to break or shatter. This can be especially dangerous if someone leans against the window or if a stray soccer/footy/cricket ball hits it.

Energy efficiency

Damaged windows can allow your precious cool air from your air conditioner to seep out into the great outdoors! (And allow the cold air to get in during winter). This can lead to higher energy bills and a less comfortable living environment.

Mould

Cracked or chipped windows can let rain seep inside which can damage your window frames, walls and flooring – which also provides the perfect breeding ground for mould.

Appearance

Damaged glass can make your home look run down and unkempt, reducing the overall value of your property.

If your home was built before 1970, the glass in your windows and doors may not be safety glass – ask your local glass services professional to check it out.
