Tiled roof restoration and coating steps:

1. Locate & fix any roof leaks.
2. Change broken tiles.
3. Check & repair lead flashings around vent pipes, gables, solar systems & anywhere else.
4. Clean out & relip valley irons. These may need to be treated or replaced depending on rust level.
5. High pressure water clean roof surface. Removing dirt, oxidisation, moss, lichen is essential to the coating process.
6. Re-bed ridge & hip caps as required.
7. Re-point all ridge & hip caps in colour matched flexible acrylic based pointing.
8. Clean off roof debris.
9. Clean & flush gutters & downpipes.
10. Clean surrounding area of debris caused by roof work.
11. Cover skylights, solar panels & other surfaces to ensure no over-spray.
12. Spray a surface steriliser over areas susceptible to moss.
13. Seal or prime surface as per Australian Standards & manufacturer’s recommendations (this may not be required on clay tiles).
14. Apply 2 coats of colour specified acrylic membrane coating. (Membrane coating on average is 6 times thicker than normal paint).
15. Randomly apply 2 tone colour.
