16th April to 25 June - Tuesdays, 6.00 to 9.00pm
Never picked up a needle and thread or have a little experience but wanting to make bigger seam dreams a reality?
The Beginners course provides essential theory and practical work for those with only a little or absolutely no experience.
Learn the basics from hand to machine sewing, buttoning to corners and curves.
You'll also graduate having created your very own sewing set, pincushion, scissor holder, needle holder, drawstring bag, sewing machine mat, zipper bag, and a tote to carry it all.
Intermediate/Dressmaking Essentials
18th April to 27 June - Thursdays, 6.00 to 9.00pm
Have some sewing skills but looking to master more?
For graduates of the Beginners class or sewers with base skills looking to progress to learning dressmaking and more advanced techniques, the Intermediate / Dressmaking Essentials course is designed to improve your reading of designs, fitting patterns, marking fabric etc.
You'll leave having created pants, an A-line skirt, and a dress, and with a mountain of new knowledge and notes to continue improving!
