Laminated glass is well known as a safety and security glass. However, because of the way it is manufactured, it also acts as an amazingly effective noise barrier that is far superior to ordinary glass.
Laminated safety glass consists of two or more layers of glass with a compressed plastic layer in between. This dampens the noise of the outside world, keeping your inside world nice and peaceful. This is particularly useful if you live on a busy road.
As well as being an effective noise insulator, laminated glass is also great for:
