Come to the very first WA Mahjong Festival!

South Perth Learning Centre with the support of City of Nedlands' Affinity Club will run a Mahjong Festival for the first time in WA on Saturday 15th April 2023.

The winner of the WA Festival will not only win bragging rights as WA Mahjong Champion, she/he will also win the $200 registration fee to attend the Australasian Mahjong Festival in Caloundra. Although this is not a cash prize, the winner may transfer the $200 registration to a friend who wishes to attend the Caloundra event in August.

After nearly 30 years of running the event, the Australasian Mahjong Festival organisers have refined the format to ensure a fun yet competitive day by restricting the choice of games to a manageable 14 for the morning session and another 14 in the afternoon session. These two lists are shared on the website https://www.mahjongwa.org.au/gamesscores so that players may download and practise at home.
