Hydrate dry skin
Re-brew used tea bags, allow to cool, and then pour into a clean spray bottle. Then just spritz it onto your skin or apply with a cotton pad. Green tea is particularly effective.
Give your plants a cuppa
Rebrew used tea bags in a bucket of water and use the weak tea to water your plants and protect them from fungus.
Take a relaxing bath
Place one or two used tea bags in your bath water; the antioxidants in the tea leaves will leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated. Try using chamomile, jasmine, peppermint, or green tea.
Soak your feet
Infuse hot water with old teabags and soak your feet in the liquid. It can reduce foot odour, soften tough skin, and reduce aches and pains.
Compost your tea bags
Add your used loose-leaf tea and leaves from your tea bags to your compost. Tea adds a nitrogen-rich component to the compost that will balance carbon-rich materials.
Get rid of eye bags!
Your used tea bags can help reduce puffiness or dark circles around your eyes. Cool them down in the fridge and then hold the bags against your eyes for a few minutes. The caffeine content will work its magic to shrink the blood vessels around your eyes, so you will look more awake and refreshed!
Bury your used teabags or leaves at the base of your plants
This will nourish the plant’s root system, aid in moisture retention and can suppress weed growth.
Get crafty
Make paper look old with used black tea bags. Just wipe the paper with a moist (and cold), used tea bag and it will stain the paper, making it look old. The same applies to cloth, card and most other porous surfaces. Be careful to not split the teabag or things might get a bit messy!
