Freshen up your car
Keeping your car tidy can be difficult, especially when spills happen in hard-to-reach spots. Luckily, it’s nothing a handheld clothes steamer can’t tackle - just direct the steam towards the spot and voila! No more pesky in-between car seat stains!
Make your glass sparkle
Tired of struggling with mirrors and windows, only to end up with stubborn streaks? Crank up your clothes steamer and steam away dirt, dust, and residue for a streak-free shine on all your glass surfaces. Nice!
Zjoosh up your sofa
There’s only so much your vacuum can do for your sofa, so let your steamer handle the heavy lifting. Upholstery cleaning is one of the best uses for a clothes steamer because it breaks down stains, deodorises fabric and sanitises for a deep-down clean.
Remove carpet stains
Believe it or not, a clothes steamer can work just like any other carpet steamer, making it the ideal size for spot cleaning. Treat light carpet and rug stains by pointing the nozzle of your steamer towards the stain to loosen up that unsightly blotch.
Sanitise surfaces
Steamers that reach over 100C can sanitise surfaces around your home. Your kitchen counters, bathroom vanity and just about any other surface in your home harbour germs and bacteria, so steam away for a healthier environment.
Degrease without chemicals
Even with the best degreasing techniques, keeping your cooking areas clean can be challenging. A clothes steamer is perfect for regular degreasing and breaking up baked-on grime without any harsh chemicals.
Deodorise and sanitise your bathroom
You may clean your bathroom like a pro on a consistent basis, but getting rid of those lingering odours and disinfecting thoroughly can be a tough ask. Your steamer is perfect for killing bacteria and mould that can cause not so great smells.
More hygienic sleep
Bet you never thought your garment steamer could help you sleep better! For a deep, healthy clean, strip those sheets, warm up your steamer and steam clean your mattress. It’s great for removing stains, deodorising, and minimising bacteria and germs. Just make sure it’s completely dry before putting on fresh sheets. Happy snoozing!
Make your grout gleam
Who knew a garment steamer could solve all your dirty grout problems, too! Just aim it along the grout lines and watch dirt and grime admit defeat and loosen up for an easy clean.
Tips
-
If you want to disinfect, make sure your garment steamer produces steam that reaches temperatures of at least 100C

Fabrics or textiles such as some polyesters and blends can’t withstand high heat or moisture and shouldn’t be steamed.

Use caution when steam cleaning fabrics with dark colours that could run. Test an inconspicuous area first.
-
Don’t steam clean surfaces finished with stain, wax or paint.
-
Never use a garment steamer on porous, unsealed surfaces, musical instruments, antiques and other delicate surfaces.
