Ingredients
*1 cup breakfast cereal
100g dark chocolate
30g butter
1 tbsp golden syrup
Oil for brushing
18 mini chocolate eggs
*You could use rice bubbles, puffed wheat, cornflakes, granola – or a mix of whatever you have in your pantry!
Method
- Melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave.
- Put the melted chocolate and butter into a large bowl and add your chosen breakfast cereal and the golden syrup. Mix so that the cereal is coated.
- Put a paper muffin case into each section of a 6-hole muffin tray (or lightly oil) and add the nest mixture.
- Press down with your (clean!) fingers or the back of a spoon to make a hole so it looks a bit like a bird’s nest.
- Chill in the fridge for about 2 hours.
- When they have set, add three mini chocolate eggs to each nest. You could also add jellybeans, berries or whatever you fancy.
