This charity collects plastic bread-bag tags which are recycled locally, raising funds to buy wheelchairs for disadvantaged people. While still primarily funding wheelchairs in South Africa, since 2021 the program has spread into funding wheelchairs for children in other countries through a collaboration with Wheelchairs for Kids and Motivation Australia.    

You can drop your bread tags off at one of their collection points, or you could go one step further and become a collection point at home, school, or work.

6 ideas for giving your bread bag tags a bit of extra life before recycling them

1. Attach to your power cord cables so you know which belongs to which appliance.
2. They make great mini scrapers to remove stickers from jars and other surfaces.
3. Use as markers in your garden to label plants and herbs
4. Clip onto your spare keys so you know which is which.
5. Stick one on the end of your roll of tape as a marker.
6. Wind your ear buds neatly around a bread tag to avoid getting them tangled.
