  1. Use an eraser to carefully clean suede shoes. This will lift off dirt without damaging the suede.
  2. Glass cleaner or Vaseline will hide small scratches and bring back the shine to patent leather shoes.
  3. Whiten the soles of your shoes with toothpaste. Just take an old toothbrush and clean the soles of your shoes with toothpaste for a few minutes. You will notice a dramatic improvement!
  4. Pop a car air freshener inside your shoes while you're not wearing them to get rid of unpleasant smells. If this doesn’t work, it might be time to change the insoles.
  5. If your shoes get wet, fill a cloth bag with rice or cat litter and put into your shoes to absorb moisture.
