6 tips to keep your barbecue clean

It's time to unveil the BBQ and get it back to work. Here are 6 tips to keep it clean and in tip-top condition for summer.

  1. Clean after each use to prevent build-up
  2. Always clean your BBQ while it is warm (but not hot) – this way any greasy residue will be easier to clean off.
  3. Line your drip tray with aluminium foil to catch spills.
  4. Use baking sheets over your barbecue plates.
  5. You can also put the grill plates in your dishwasher if they will fit. You’ll have to re-season them before your next use though; just spray with oil and heat for 15 minutes.
  6. Use a BBQ cover whenever it’s not in use.
