Kids love slime, and kids love unicorns so put them together and you’ll have a winner! Make your poop slime any colours you want – from pastel pink, yellow and blue, to glittery red and purple and black! A combination of colours will make it look more unicorny!

Unicorn Poop Slime

For each colour:

180ml of white school glue

A few drops of food colouring

Glitter (optional) – use a different colour for each batch for the best effect

1/2 teaspoon of sodium bicarb

1½ tablespoons of contact lens/saline solution.

Bowls and spatulas (or icy pole sticks) for mixing

  1. Put the glue into a bowl and add a few drops of food colouring.
  1. Add the sodium bicarb and mix well.
  1. Add a few drops of food colouring and mix.
  1. Add the glitter (if you are using) and mix well.
  1. Add the contact lens/saline solution and mix. The mixture should start to clump together. Knead together until it forms into a ball. It will be sticky while you are kneading – this is normal. You can add more saline solution if it’s still too sticky, but just a little at a time. If you add too much, it won’t be as stretchy.
  1. Once you have made your different colours of slime, place them side by side to blend or twist them together. Don’t mix too much though, or the individual colours will blend into one.

Fluffy Unicorn Poop Slime

For each colour:

1 cup white school glue

1 cup shaving cream

1 tsp sodium bicarb

2 tsp saline solution

Food colouring

Mixing bowl

Spatula to mix

  1. Empty the glue into a large mixing bowl. Add the baking soda and mix until well combined.
  1. Add the shaving cream and combine until the consistency is thick and fluffy.
  1. Add drops of food colouring, stirring to blend, until you’re happy with the colour.
  1. Add the saline solution, mixing to combine. This removes the stickiness.
  1. Mix and knead until the mixture comes together in a ball.
  1. Repeat for each colour.
  1. Once you have made your different colours of fluffy slime, put them side by side and blend or twist them together.

Tips

  • Slime that is too sticky usually means you don’t have enough activator (saline solution). Try adding a bit more a little at a time. Too much will make it less stretchy.
  • If that doesn’t work, you may need to add something dry, like cornflour, to help reduce how sticky your slime is.
  • To save time, you can use glitter/metallic or coloured glue instead of adding food colouring and glitter.
  • Elmers make a liquid called Elmer’s Magical Slime Activator, which replaces the saline and sodium bicarb.
