Daily tasks

  • Make your bed in the morning - it doesn’t take long and gives the whole room a fresher look (plus it feels good to tick off an easy win straight away).
  • Empty the dishwasher early so it’s ready to take care of the day’s dishes.
  • Do a quick pick-up of clutter or, if you’re short on time, toss it all into a washing basket and put things back where they belong later.
  • Wipe down kitchen benches after preparing meals or snacks - it keeps things looking neat and saves effort later.
  • Sweep or vacuum the kitchen floor to catch crumbs before they travel everywhere.
  • Empty the rubbish bins regularly to keep the kitchen smelling fresh.
  • A quick squirt of toilet cleaner while you’re passing through makes the job faster later - leave it to sit for 10 minutes, give it a swish and flush.
