- Wrap one around pens for a better grip (for the young or elderly) and bundle your pens together with a rubber band so you know where they all are.
- Use rubber bands to hold together pre-cut fruits (such as apples and oranges) to prevent them from drying out and going brown.
- Create a gripper around a lid that is difficult to get off a jar.

- If you put two or three rubber bands on a child's cup you can prevent them from spilling drinks. The bands make it easier for them to hold it if the outside of the cup gets wet.
