Ingredients

  • 1 sachet of active yeast (2.25tsp)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose bread flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt

To make your pizzas:

  1. Preheat oven to 200 C
  2. Put the warm water in a bowl and stir in the yeast and sugar.
  3. Add the flour, salt and oil and stir until it’s mixed well.
  4. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until the yeast is frothy.
  5. The dough will be loose and a bit messy but that’s how it’s supposed to look!
  6. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. If you’re making mini pizzas, separate into 4 portions.
  8. Roll or pat it out into a round shape (or not, it can be whatever shape you like!).
  9. Choose your toppings – anything goes! Start with the sauce, then add cheese and put the rest of the toppings on top of the cheese.
  10. Bake the pizza at 220 C for 15-20 minutes for one large pizza or 10-15 minutes for the smaller pizzas.
