Because of the current restrictions in place, this year’s ANZAC Day parades and services will not go ahead; but we can still pay our respects to our servicemen and women, both past and present.
Light a candle (real or battery-operated) or turn on the light on your mobile phone at 5.55am and join RSLWA’s ANZAC Day Driveway Dawn Service for 6am on April 25.
Stand at the end of your driveway, on your balcony or at a window with your light. Tune in to the radio or switch on the TV to hear The Last Post and join in the one-minute silence.
Fire up the barbecue for your household and enjoy a traditional ‘gunfire breakfast’ of bacon, eggs and sausages.
Get the kids to draw pictures of poppies on paper and attach them to your fence, verge tree or put it up in the window; they could also draw a poppy in chalk on your driveway.

ABC local radio will broadcast services from 6am.
A revised version of the Australian War Memorial’s annual ANZAC Day service will go ahead and be broadcast live by the ABC .
