How to commemorate ANZAC Day 2023

This year, RSLWA’s full-service returns with the Kings Park Dawn Service; the Gunfire Breakfast at Government House; the March through the CBD; the all-inclusive Sunset Service and the Commemorative Service at Perth Concert Hall.

State War Memorial Dawn Service

Tuesday, 25th April 2023 - 5.50am to 7.00am

RSLWA are thrilled to invite the public back to attend this live Dawn Service event as this is the first time in over three years. RSLWA have been approved to plan with full public attendance. 

The ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the State War Memorial in Kings Park starts at 06:00 on Tuesday 25th April 2023. RSLWA recommends that you arrive from 4:00am onwards. Please note that at 5.50am, the lights will go out and all will be quiet as the service begins. 

Gunfire Breakfast

Tuesday, 25th April 2023 - 7.00am - 9.00am

Held at Government House Gardens on St Georges Terrace, from 7.00am to 9.00am the breakfast is open for everyone to enjoy. Entry is a gold coin donation.

ANZAC Day Parade

Tuesday, 25th April 2023 - Perth CBD starting at 9.00am 

RSLWA encourage all ex-serving, current serving, family, and friends to attend this year’s special event. 

March participants will step off from the corner of Barrack Street and St Georges Terrace at 9.00 am.  

A sausage sizzle will be provided by The Salvation Army at Langley Park and the parade will be broadcast live by ABC TV. 

Commemorative Service

Tuesday, 25 April 2023 - Perth Concert Hall from 11.00am to midday

This is a free community event, but tickets are needed for entry. The program will include the Salvation Army Perth Fortress Band and the ANZAC Day Choir, brought together by the Perth Modern School Chamber Choir and Perth Modern School Alumni Singers. Tickets are available from Monday 13th March and can be booked through the Perth Concert Hall website.

All-Inclusive Sunset Service

Monday, 24 April 2023 - 5:00pm to 5:30pm 

For the first time since 2019, the Sunset Service will be conducted around the Flame of Remembrance and will offer an intimate service focusing on contemporary conflicts around the world. The Service will include a wreath-laying ceremony.
