Crazy kid fun with DIY bath paints

Bath paints are a fun way for kids to express themselves, while keeping any mess confined to the bath! Making them at home is easy and cost-effective – you only need three ingredients and about 10 minutes!

Ingredients

  • Cornflour
  • Natural food colouring
  • Baby shampoo/liquid soap

Method

  1. Mix 2 parts baby soap and 1 part cornflour in a bowl until smooth. The amount you make should depend on how many different colours you are going to use.
  1. Divide the mixture into small, plastic containers and add a few drops of food colouring to each and mix until you are happy with the colour.
  1. You could also transfer the different coloured paints to an ice cube tray to make painting easier.
  1. The paints will wash away easily with soap and water when bath time is done!

If you are concerned about staining, test your bathroom grout in a hidden area. The paint can also be slippery, so always supervise and rinse the bath well when you're done.
