The mummy

Grab an old white sheet (or pick one up from your local charity shop); tear it into strips and wrap it around yourself or your little one (or both!). Add some face paint for extra ghostly vibes, and you'll be a classic mummy ready to shuffle through the streets.

Spooky spider

Dress in all black and attach some stuffed black tights or fabric as extra ‘legs’. Secure them to your sides with safety pins, and you’ll be creeping people out in no time!

Cobweb kid (or adult)

If you don’t fancy going as the spider, team up and go as the spider’s web. Dress in black and use white wool or string wrapped around your body to create a spider web effect. You could also add a few small, plastic spiders for good measure.

The 'cereal' killer

Love a pun? Then this one’s for you!  Grab some mini cereal boxes, stick them onto a t-shirt, and sprinkle some (fake) blood for extra scary vibes. Now you're a cereal killer!

Alien

If you’ve got green clothes and face paint, you’re already halfway to becoming a visitor from outer space. Add lots of googly eyes, to your costume and you’re ready to go!

Night and day

For a dynamic duo - dress in a black T-shirt with stars and a moon attached, to become The Night – then grab a friend who dresses in a white T-shirt with a sun attached, to become The Day!

Go batty!

More black clothing and some bat wings (easily made from fabric or cardboard) and you’re done. You could also add bat ears to a headband for that extra batty touch.

Skeleton

Got some black clothing and white tape? You’re already halfway to being a skeleton! Stick white tape in bone patterns on the black outfit and use some spooky face paint to complete the look.

Frankenstein’s monster

For the head of the monster, grab a square cardboard box, cut out eye holes, and paint it green. You’ll be stomping around like Frankenstein’s monster in no time! Just make sure you can see where you're going!

Family of M&Ms

If Halloween is a family affair, or you are Halloweening with a group of friends – just grab different coloured T-shirts and add a cut out ‘M’ (or use tape). You and your besties are a bag of M&Ms! It’s colourful and super easy to pull off.

Little devil

Dress your little one in red from head to toe, add a red tail, and throw on a pair of horns (attach them to a headband).

Spooky scientist

For a mad scientist look, grab a white lab coat (or even a large white shirt would do), create some wild hair and a pair of glasses and you’re good to go.

Swamp monster

To create this swampy look, dress your child in green and layer on some netting or fabric to give them that mossy, gross effect. Add green face paint and plastic bugs for a creature straight from the depths!

Eyeball monster

Dress in any colour and attach large eyeballs (made from foam balls or balloons) all over.
