How to get your kids to eat more veggies!

Are you struggling to get your little ones (or big ones) to eat their veggies? Don't worry, you're not alone! Sneaking vegetables into your kids' food can be a tricky task, but with a little creativity and some ninja-level stealth, you can boost their nutrition without them even noticing!

  1. Whip up smoothies with fruit and add some mild tasting veggies such as zucchini, spinach, or carrot. They will be totally distracted by the creamy, fruity flavour!
  2. Sneak finely chopped or grated veggies into meatballs or meatloaf. The texture will blend right in, and your kids won't suspect a thing!
  3. Add grated zucchini to treats such as muffins or brownies – it doesn’t have a strong flavour and there are plenty of recipes online. The natural sweetness will mask any vegetable taste, and your kids will gobble them up.
  4. Homemade pizza is a great way to hide veggies. Puree some cooked veggies like broccoli or peppers into the tomato sauce, and let your kids go crazy with their favourite toppings. They'll be none the wiser – and they are more likely to eat up something they’ve helped to make.
  5. Blend cauliflower or peeled zucchini into mashed potatoes. They'll add a nice creamy texture without changing the taste – and being white, they won’t notice anything is amiss!
  6. Puree cooked veggies and mix them into tomato sauce for pasta dishes or pizza. The rich flavours will overshadow any veggie traces.
  7. Mix cauliflower rice with white rice – seriously, they won’t even notice it’s there!
  8. Make your own sausage rolls and add some grated zucchini or carrot.
  9. Sweet potato fries – they are more nutritious, and they are fries – what’s not to like!
