Getting ready
- If you have a crumpled outfit, hang it in your bathroom while showering to get rid of the wrinkles (or at the very least reduce them to make ironing easier).
- Invest in a shower cap and don’t wash your hair (it doesn’t need to be washed every day and it will be better for your hair). How to save time on your hair care routine
- Use dry shampoo – just give your hair a quick spray and no-one will ever know!
- Turn the temperature down in the shower – so it’s not tempting to stay in there too long!
- All-in-one products are a time-saver, so use a combined shampoo and conditioner – or go even further and use a combined shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! There are even shower gels and moisturisers combined.
- Shave while in the shower.
- Time your shower to your favourite song or use a shower timer.
Cleaning
- Wipe down the sink each time after brushing your teeth. Clever uses for old toothbrushes
- Rinse your bath, shower and shower screen after use and wipe or squeegee dry. This will reduce dirt build-up and make your weekly clean much faster. Speed clean your bathroom
- If you use a shower curtain, wash them regularly (just throw them into your washing machine). Have two and rotate them – one hanging and one in the wash.
- Keep a cleaning kit in the bathroom for a quick and easy wipe down.
- Make your mirror mist-proof. Wipe a layer of shaving cream or toothpaste over the mirror and wipe clean. These prevent water condensation from sticking to the glass. Clever uses for shaving foam around your home
