- Give him a day off, where there are no deadlines, no chores, and no hassles. Let him relax or do something he really enjoys!
- Replace the wallpaper on Dad’s computer with a family photo. It will be a lovely surprise when he logs on for the day. Dad’s choice!
- Instead of planning everything out for him, let your dad decide what he wants to do. You can offer some suggestions or let him come up with something himself. And you must do whatever it is he has chosen (with a smile)!
- And for a bit of Father’s Day fun, let your dad be in charge of the TV remote control all day! You could even wrap up the TV remote and give it to him as a gift.
You could also:
- Binge watch a TV series with him
- Create a photo collage with some of your favourite memories
- Do your dad’s chores for one day
- Make breakfast in bed for him
- Younger kids could make some handprint art
- Award him some ‘Quiet Time’ coupons
- Write a list of why he is a great dad and present it to him on Father’s Day.
- Oldies, but goodies – wash his car or mow the lawn!
- Create some awesome memories
