Creative and crafty fun

Energy burners (yes, even indoors!)

  • Indoor obstacle course: Use pillows, chairs and blankets to build a safe course for crawling, jumping and rolling.
  • Balloon volleyball: No net required—just keep the balloon off the floor!
  • Dance party: Pop on some tunes and boogie together in the lounge.
  • Scavenger hunt: Create a list of things to find around the house. Great for observation and movement.
  • Turn tidying up into a game!

Calm and quiet moments

Imaginative play

  • Teddy bears’ picnic: Lay out a rug and invite the soft toys for tea and snacks.
  • Dress-ups: Raid the costume box or your wardrobe for pretend-play adventures.
  • Puppet show: Make puppets from socks or paper bags, then put on a show behind a couch.
  • Toy washing station: A basin with warm soapy water and a towel = a mini car wash or dolly spa!
  • Kitchen café: Set up a pretend café with menus, pretend food—or even real snacks.
  • Play shop: For hours of imaginative play!

Or you could even just let them be bored – it can be a good thing!
